Indaba Day

November 3, 2018

What is Indaba you ask?

The World Scout Indaba was a gathering of Scout Leaders from around the world, a sort of World Jamboree for Scouters. Created at the 1949 12th World Scout Conference in Elvesaeter, Norway

An indaba (pronounced in-dah-bah) is an important conference held by the izinDuna (principal men) of the Zulu peoples of South Africa.

In Scouting, we use the term to describe a gathering of Scouts and Scouters to share and gain new knowledge and skills, and we have adopted this name for our event.
